01Who this covers

Plain English

This is the privacy notice for midnightanvil.com. It covers visitors, project inquiries, and people who contact the studio.

Midnight Anvil LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. In this policy, "we," "us," and "the studio" mean Midnight Anvil LLC. "You" means any person who visits midnightanvil.com, contacts us, or uses a public page, subdomain, or staging page we operate.

Client project data is governed by the signed services agreement for that engagement. This policy covers the public marketing website and ordinary inbound communications.

02Information we collect

Information you choose to send

If you submit a project brief, email us, call us, or reply to us, we collect the information you provide. On the website that may include your name, email address, company or project name, service interests, budget range, and message text. If you call, we may receive your phone number and voicemail content.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and security providers may create access logs that include IP address, user-agent string, requested URL, referring URL, timestamp, and response code. We use this for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and uptime.

What the current public site does not collect

  • No payment card information.
  • No account passwords or login credentials.
  • No precise location data.
  • No health, financial account, government ID, or other sensitive personal information requested through the site.
  • No advertising pixels, retargeting tags, session replay, or heatmap tracking in the current build.

03Cookies and tracking

Plain English

The current public site does not intentionally set analytics or marketing cookies. If that changes, the cookie policy changes first.

Our current production website is designed to work without non-essential cookies. We do not currently run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar, FullStory, or similar tracking tools.

We load Google Fonts from Google-hosted font servers. That request may disclose ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser details, and the page URL to Google. See our Cookie Policy for the operational detail.

04How we use information

Project inquiries
To read your brief, respond, schedule calls, prepare a quote, and decide whether there is a fit.
Email and phone
To communicate with you and keep a record of the conversation.
Server logs
To secure the website, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and understand basic site reliability.
Legal records
To comply with tax, accounting, dispute, and corporate record obligations if an inquiry becomes a client relationship.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only where needed to run the studio and website.

Hosting
Vercel or comparable hosting/CDN providers that serve the website and process access logs.
DNS/security
Cloudflare or comparable DNS/security providers that resolve the domain and help protect availability.
Email
Our mailbox and email delivery providers, which process inbound and outbound messages.
Fonts
Google Fonts, loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com.
Professional help
Accountants, attorneys, insurers, or vendors where reasonably necessary for business operations.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Midnight Anvil, our clients, or the public.

06How long we keep it

Project inquiries
Usually up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless the inquiry becomes a client relationship.
Client-related records
Handled under the services agreement and kept as needed for tax, accounting, contract, and support obligations.
Email threads
Kept while useful to the relationship, then periodically pruned.
Server logs
Typically 30 days, unless needed longer for security investigation or legal reasons.

07Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent where our processing is based on consent.

California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Send requests to forge@midnightanvil.com or use the instructions on our Privacy Choices page. We aim to respond to GDPR-style requests within 30 days and California requests within 45 days where those laws apply.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for a small studio: HTTPS, access controls, two-factor authentication where supported, scoped vendor access, dependency updates, backups, and limited internal access to inquiry records.

No website can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If we confirm a security incident involving personal information, we will notify affected people and regulators as required by applicable law.

09International transfers

Midnight Anvil is based in the United States. Some providers we use may process information in the United States or other countries. Where GDPR-style transfer rules apply, we rely on vendor transfer mechanisms such as Data Processing Addenda, Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent safeguards made available by those providers.

10Children

This site is for adults and businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it when required.

11Changes

We may update this policy as the website, vendors, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top tells you when the page last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page before or when they take effect.
